According to the Mayo Clinic, Endometriosis “is the often painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus.” This disorder commonly involves a woman’s ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining of her pelvis.
This weekend was a four day, free weekend that was spent at home in the bed sick with irregular trips to the bathroom. I barely ate food during the most festive weekend of the year (Thanksgiving). I truly thought about going to a gynecologist and getting a hysterectomy. I don’t have children, and the way my situation is looking, being single and there’s not a man in sight, I almost said “forget it.” Every two to three years I have a moment that my menstrual cycle is worse than usual and now that I’m over 30 years old, I believe it’s making my cycles worse. So I’ve made the decision to change fix my lifestyle and start researching for reputable gynecologist that can help me with treating my case of endometriosis.
